It all began in San Francisco, CA on So. Van Ness with Mel Weiss' first Mel's Diner in 1947. The rage spread all around and especially to Modesto, CA where George Lucas was in high school in 1962. Not only Mel's but The Era of the 1950s/early '60s so inspired Lucas that 10 years later he made a little movie called AMERICAN GRAFFITI featuring no names who all went onto big fame . The good vibes continue to this day, especially in Oldies Country. Enjoy!
